Getting started with HydraSync FX
HydraSync FX copies trades from one account to one or more other accounts, automatically. You open a trade on a source account; it is opened on every destination account linked to it. When the source closes, the destinations close too (unless you turn that off).
The three ideas
- Source account (master): where the trades come from. It can be an MT4 or MT5 account, a Telegram channel that posts signals, or a TradingView alert.
- Destination account (slave): an account that receives copies. It can be on any platform listed in Platforms.
- Copy link: the connection between one source and one destination. Each link has its own settings (lot size, filters, limits), independent of every other link.
Links can be chained (A copies to B, B copies to C). A link that would create a loop is refused.
Set up in five steps
- Create an account. The free trial lasts 14 days and needs no card. You then confirm your email address: click the link in the email you receive, or enter its 6-digit code. The app opens once it is confirmed. An account not confirmed within 7 days is deleted.
- Add your trading accounts on the Accounts page. Pick the platform and enter the connection details. The badge on each platform (EA, API, Browser, Feed) tells you how HydraSync will connect. See Platforms.
- For MT4 and MT5, install the Expert Advisor (or connect the account through MetaApi instead: no file and no terminal to keep open, see Platforms). Download it from the Accounts page. It is a single EA, HydraSync, the same file on every MT4 or MT5 terminal: HydraSync gives it its role (source, destination, or both) from your copy links, so there is nothing to choose in the EA. Use the Copy key button on the account, and paste the key into the EA's
ConnectionKey input. Accounts on the other platforms need no file. If an account shows EA update needed, download the EA again and replace it on that terminal: older versions do not report the real P&L of copies. - Create a copy link on the Copy settings page: choose the source, the destination and how the lot size is decided. See Copy settings.
- Test on a demo account first. Open a small trade on the source and check it appears on the destination with the size you expect.
What you will see
- The Signals page lists every trade the source sent and how many destinations copied it.
- The Trades page lists the trades on each destination, open and closed.
- If a trade cannot be copied, or a close cannot be executed, you get a notification. A failed close is the one to act on: the position is probably still open at your broker, so check it and close it by hand if needed.
- If a linked account disconnects, you get an alert in the app and on Telegram (and by email if you turn it on in your profile, Notifications tab). While the market is closed, from Friday 5 pm to Sunday 4 pm New York time, this alert waits: an account still disconnected on Sunday at 4 pm is reported then, one hour before the open.
- To get these alerts on Telegram: profile, Notifications tab, Connect to Telegram. Open the bot in the Telegram app, in Telegram Web (nothing to install) or by scanning the QR code with your phone, then press Start. If nothing opens, send the bot the
/start … message shown on the page.
Good habits
- Start with a demo destination and small lots.
- Set a lot cap and a maximum drawdown before you copy real money. See Risk and protection.
- Check your broker's or prop firm's rules on copy trading before you connect. See Prop firms.
